Why we ask

Public data can show where people live, where roads are, where businesses exist, and how neighborhoods are changing.

But public data cannot fully answer questions like:

  • What do residents feel is missing?
  • What do households travel too far to reach?
  • What needs are skipped, delayed, or worked around?
  • What improvements would matter most in daily life?

Citizens Collective exists to collect that missing human insight.

What the survey asks

The survey asks you to choose one type of place or service that would most improve daily life for your household if it were easier to reach from home.

Then it asks a few focused questions about how often you use that type of place, how difficult it is to access today, and what benefits improved access would create.

The survey does not ask for income, age, employment, vehicle ownership, or other demographic information that can be better understood through public data.

What we commit to

Your individual response stays private.

We will not publicly display your individual survey answers.

We will not sell your individual response.

We will not use one response to make a development decision.

We do not use this survey to generate or present scores, rankings, recommendations, legal decisions, planning approvals, investment guidance, or any location-based visualizations that could be interpreted as directing outcomes.

If results are shared publicly in the future, they will only be shown in grouped, anonymized, or privacy-protected form.

Free-text responses are treated as private and should not include names, phone numbers, full street addresses, or other identifying details.
